Light in Weight and Small in Size: Suitable for Small Animal and Bird Tracking
Origin: Tianjin, China
What is VHF? VHF is short for very high frequency, it usually means radio waves between 30MHz to 300MHz, suitable for short range signal transmission. A receiver with antenna can receive signals from a VHF transmitter.
Wildlife telemetry tracking systems consists of VHF transmitters, antennas and receivers. An antenna and a receiver must be combined to receive signals sent from a transmitter. We do various kinds of transmitters for animals and bird of different weights, body sizes and living habits. (many types of transmitters are available, collar transmitters, implantable transmitters and transmitters for reptiles and amphibian animals) Features and Functions of a VHF transmitter Battery life can be as short as about 15days and as long as several years. Implantable transmitters could be used for snakes, lizards and fish.
The principle of the tracker is a kind of wireless direction finding, that is orientation through the receiving equipment of directional antenna and then locate. It does not belong to GPS. Mount the transmitter on the target object when tracking and then track the signal direction through the directional antenna and receiver. Effective distance in plain is 20 kilometers, in mountain area is 10 kilometers. Specification: Weight: 3g-35g Frequency range: 148-500MHz Pulse Modulation: Crystal controlled two-stage design, CMOS pulse multivibrator Operating Temperature: -10~+50
for a whole tracking system, a receiver and antenna must be necessary. a receiver
